    Just get a high-temp Viton O-ring of the proper size, roll that down over the barrel threads, and seat the thread protector against it. That or a wrap of teflon tape. Either one will keep the protector from spinning loose and will be easily removable.

    Rocksetting your thread protector on is perhaps a little extreme.
    The o-ring will work like a champ.. :thumbsup:
