Got to try the "improved" range. I like the lane dividers, it keeps my AKs brass at Bay from other shooters. I do think that the tables are a bit high though.

I agree the tables are a bit high, and the seat/bench is a bit low. The tables are also a decent bit smaller than before, wish they were still the same size as before.

Gonna bring some phone books to sit on next time... lol

I might just have to bring my own stool. I haven't received a phone book in ages.

This is the Myrtle Grove posting, they are talking about Elk Neck.

    No kidding!
My first clue was when the guy said, " Here at Elk Neck..."

Just pointing out other DNR ranges have roofs.
And for the amount of time MG was closed....

But at least it was closed all summer, so kids on vacation couldnt go...

I stopped by today for a few hours to do some shooting. The new "pergola" does provide a little shade on the line this time of year. You'd think after all the work they did on the place, they would have fixed the distance markers. Most of them were unreadable and falling over. What's up with that?

They put in new distance markers sometime in the last 2 weeks rather large ones too.

Still as much of a mud pit as ever after a rain. And still the large standing puddle you need to walk through to get to the tables by the entry ramp.

There is little to nothing they could do about the mud, but the puddle? the construction company did not angle the concrete enough or in the wrong direction or at all when they recapped it.

    Not really complaining, but commenting...
