I have the range of .576-.582 pin gages I purchased to size up my Civil war 58 cal replicas and originals.
If anyone wants to borrow/meet up to measure their bore, let me know.
Prior to using the gages, I took an oversized minie and drilled a drywall screw into the top, then pushed into the bore then spun it and pulled it out. Then measured on my Calipers. This worked pretty good and my measurements were within 1 thousandth of the Pin gage. The Chiappa was .578 near the muzzle but appeared to get down to .577 about a 1/2 inch down which made my spun minie method show it over the actual bore size.
I also have sizer dies .576,.577,.578, and .580
