Did not get the time to do a build photo shoot. But the anderson arms upper and lower are a very loose fit that i fixed with a wedge. The barrel to upper fit was pretty loose also i used blue loctite to fix that and the woa gas block was to big for the mega arms g2 so I ordered the troy lowpro gas block and even then the gas block and tubb had to be installed after the hand gaurd because the internal fins would not fit around the gas block. It was a pain.

My long range AR15 build. Went with a 20" Ballistic Advantage barrel chambered in 223 Wylde & Fail Zero nickel boron BCG topped with a 4-14 X44 Primary Arms ACSS reticle.

How do you mean this? You put loctite on the barrel extension where it mates with the upper? That sounds like a bad idea to me, but I'm an amateur.

Yes!, it was a suggestion from clandestine to use 620 loctite but I used regular blue just in case I ever wanted to change my upper. It worked great.

He also suggested lapping the barrel to upper mating surface but if you want to do this do not buy the brownells tool it does not have a perfect 90 degree angel on it which would have given me an inward tapper which is not desirable.

Well son of a gun, that's interesting. I guess it snugs up the fit of barrel extension to receiver.

^^This guy. Go White Oak Armament on the upper. Just finished my "DMR style" AR. I built the upper instead of buying an assembled one, but I did put a WOA 18'' 1:7 barrel on it and it shoots sub MOA.

probably used the same barrel as this guy if its the match grade. Cant ask for a better barrel:thumbsup:

May I suggest you find someone with a .223 or 5.56 go gauge. I have seen issues with "match" barrels and "match" bolts that, when combined have short headspace. This is dangerous and leads to bad groups too.

Dang I will try. But is this still an issue if I am going to be reloading? And dangerous how?:sad20:

Yes. Short headspace can be more dangerous than excessive headspcae IMO. With short headspace the gun can fail to lockup fully and explode. The design of the gun makes it hard to do, but it can happen.

Im not saying this is the case with your gun and Im not saying it to downtalk your build (its a nice build), Im just sharing my experiences.

If you need it checked, ill be glad to check it if you need help.

Thank you very much! I welcome all help. I am very new to the ar world. I would take you up on your offer if I did not live in norfolk lol

Chad2 here's one thing that can happen. I can tell you it's worth sending the upper to the other Chad for a look over if he's taking out of town work.

I finally have my rifle good to go and my chamber was tight but passed a ptc go, no go, and field gauge but it was still out of wack.

Chad is an awesome dude and his work is amazing.

If you search my threads for 223 loading, noveskee stuff I've been fighting mine for two years and Chad got me squared away.

So I took it out and put about 70 rds through it no issues what so ever all of the top groups were very rushed. The bottom groups I took my time on, I was using 77gr beck and blackhills ammo. The largest group is smaller then 1-1/2 inches the smallest is under a 1/2 inch.

I have a WOA built upper that is very accurate with 55gr-77gr loads. It shoots them all very well.
