Today's trip with Chris D on the TEASER was the best. Captain ChrisD and his Mate, Al, know how to catch fish. We caught our limit early when boat around us were not doing well. We had extra time so Captain Chris took us to the Patapsco to fish for Perch around some old pilings and then the Key Bridge.

My daughter is apprehensive on boats are away from land and the rough water. Once on station the water calmed and we had great weather. Once Chris and Al got her to reel in a good fish she started to get engaged and enjoying things. She did not like to be at the back of the boat next to the close railing. However, once we got to perch fishing she was all in and had a blast including catching a bunch of small perch and spot. She topped the day with a monster catfish on the last cast of the day that doubled over her lightweight rod while reeling in the fat cat.

I recommend Captain Chris and the TEASER as a good trip, good crew, great value. Check him out here https://www.teasersportfishing.com.

Hello all, just got back into fishing after 25 years off. I'm trying to get my boys introduced to the craft. Can anyone recommend some good bank fishing spots on the Patuxent not too far from upper Marlboro? Somewhere we can spread out a little and enjoy the day.

You're going to want to wait a week to embark on this adventure, where ever you go.

That's awesome! Glad you could squeeze in a trip with the crazy weather of late and even better that you got your daughter somewhat over her fear of being out there on a rough day. :party29:

This family in town from Michigan had a good morning fishing in spite of all the debris in the upper bay right now.

Just got home from my epic 3 day fishing trip that was 18 months in the works.

Dedicated thread in the WC tomorrow.

At my MIL's house, fishing in the pond out back. We were backed-off by this gal. Apparently she's quite territorial.

Drowned a bunch of worms, and had a great time in spite of the ... threat.

The debris out there is ridiculous and quite dangerous. I heard there are some lawsuits in the works for the "dumping" from our neighbor to the north. Be careful out there.

Got up at 4:15 yesterday to catch the morning bite.
Got to the first cove and my prop fell off.
Grabbed the spare prop out of the boat box and discovered a spare prop is no good without a nut.
Literally I took off my hat to scratch my head and watched my brand new sunglasses fly into the water.
Paddled the jon boat back to the launch and went home and managed to squirt some jalapeño juice in my eye...twice.
I’m glad to be back to work today.

I'd be glad to be back at work too!!! In the eye????? TWICE??????

In spite of all the crap weather we have been having lately, we had a small window this morning to get a trip in. This family from PA got it done with Rockfish and some catfish too. The bay looks like it is starting to clear up some. I saw less flotsam and the water is looking a bit better.

My brothers and I booked a trip with Captain Chris based on reviews from MDS. Great and fun trip, Chris is very knowledgeable and knows fishing. Al is a good deck hand. Both guys together make a good team. A lot of action and limited out by 10:00. Thanks again Chris.

I just got this third hand from a friend of my son. Has anyone seen this yet?
He said it was caught this morning on the Patuxent River near the naval base.
