Surprisingly enough, a mainstream newspaper actually reported on a legally armed civilian stopping a criminal with a gun.

Here's a link to the article in the Washington Post.

Gist of it is a possibly drunk person committed at least one carjacking, attempted two more, fired shots in a Wal-Mart, wounded at least two people overall and was finally confronted and fatally shot by two armed civilians in the Wal-Mart parking lot. A witness quoted in the story said of the civilian who shot the suspect: “He is a hero. If this customer hadn’t done what he did, who knows what would have happened.”

Funny, it's almost like legal CCW prevented innocent deaths here! Just imagine how much safer certain parts of Maryland would be if our state had shall-issue CCW permits and allowed civilians to defend themselves.

just remember, this will be added to the ANTI's database (can't remember the website) as another bad Gun Violence incident. Just to further their narrative.

Of course. Who cares about things like the truth if they can advance their ridiculous agenda?

Yep...the headline on cnn and others (if they even report on this) will be something like "2 injured and 1 dead by gun" and they *might* make mention that it was arm civilians that ended it.

Let's see how long it goes before the MSM goes digging into their backgrounds to see if they had LEO or security guard experience, no matter how small, just to try to dismiss them as not really being average citizens.

The readers commenting below the article sure aren't. Not that I'm the least bit surprised. But I was surprised that the article itself was pretty balanced. Maybe not pro-gun necessarily, but at least not anti-gun.

If they even bother to report the story that long. I figure they'll probably just bury it ASAP. Don't want the unwashed masses thinking that guns can be good, right?

There's no way Democrat politicians want to endanger criminals by allowing law abiding citizens to defend themselves against violent crime. Where do you think you are?

Sadly even Fox News took this narrative last night on TV. They reported the story, the carjacking, and that the bad guy was shot, but failed to include in their report that it was a lawful carry civilian that ended the incident. I was really disappointed in them.
