Will citizen enforcement get brown shirts?

If traffic enforcement were about safety, ALL the laws would be enforced equally- pass on left, yield to faster traffic, signal to change lanes, etc.....but they aren’t. They’re enforced as another form of taxation. Now to put power in the hands of the untrained and unprepared.... how could we possibly foresee what could go wrong?!

Wait till Karen tries to pull over a wanted felon who ain't goin' back to prison.

Or even ticketing a hothead who isn't taking any of that shite.

All in all, sounds like a good way for Karen to get her fool head blown off.

    Traffic stops are dangerous.

As soon as I read that, my first thought was of how often I hear of cops getting into bad situations during a routine traffic stop. These people thinking up these “brilliant“ ideas are clueless.

Me too. We should 'pool' our efforts.

We can do the buddy system - I’ll monitor your compliance with traffic laws and vice versa. FYI my interpretation of the law is that castle doctrine applies to your vehicle so you’re now free to carry when passing through my jurisdiction.

I, of course, will extend the same courtesies to you. :)

Some places have allowed certain parking citations to be written by some others.....

This s awfully ignorant and just pandering.

    That's all I say now.

Just means people will be recording everything with their phones and submitting it to police. I can envision this becoming a huge race issue as well. All this does is turns everyone into a "rat" and we`ll be living like North Koreans within 10 years. These f-ing a-holes have no forethought.

A big part of this plan is putting red light and speed cameras everywhere.

Verified! Cameras are not racist. They want to put DOT in charge of moving violations.

Stop using SRO's at schools. They'll be some HS in MoCo that will run like prisons when that occurs.

Yeah. Good luck with that. Will make most cops happy. They can still get paid, not have to go to court, and deal with the public less. From my exposure, very few police actually enjoy traffic enforcement.

This is a well timed suggestion. The camera police are coming. The local government keeps the vast majority of revenue (well the vendor gets most...then the corrupt politicians, then the local budget). The State is going to want to make up their ticket money as well if larger departments begin to do this.

Good luck. What could go wrong?

They need the money. When you become a sanctuary county, you’re welcoming non tax paying people. It’s another way to make up for it. They sure as hell aren’t fixing the roads. Place is becoming a third world shihole
