The courage of Marylanders to hold up these “WE WILL NOT COMPLY” signs in Annapolis during the 2019 Maryland General Assembly session have provided crucially important picture illustrations now being published in national news stories reporting on Virginia’s Second Amendment Sanctuary movement.

This TTAG news story was published just minutes ago, attempting to keep up with fast-breaking news, and depicts Maryland Patriots!

Reporting from The Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms.

    Thank you Maryland Patriots!

    Observation:

During one of our soirees at Lawn Chair Larry's house I noticed a young state trooper who obviously drew the short straw and was going around to each of us getting a full face photo. It seems that the Tree of Liberty has become very, very thirsty now...

We should hope this is fast tracked to the supreme court. The very term assault rifle was created by germany to confiscate guns from the jews. Now it is being used to take guns from us citizens. We should demand that all laws using the words assault weapon be unconstitutional due to vagueness and history of abuse

Did anyone take a full face photo of the trooper, or his name plate? fred55

Completely and totally inaccurate. If you're going to stand, stand on facts.

The first usage of assault rifle was in the Weimar Gun Control laws, used to disarm the Jews. Popular use of the term is attributed to Adolf Hitler, referring to be the STG-44. Also banned for ownership by jews upon penalty of death. There are your facts

I love my CZ rifles and pistols. Remarkably accurate. They didn't bother making up terms for their guns so they could disarm people and commit genocide though. That was Germany and their "assault" weapons law. Right now we have socialists in america saying they want to ban assault weapons. Hitler was elected as leader of the national socialist party and confiscated assault weapons. The parallels are disturbing.

I won't touch the issue of first use of " Assault Rifle " . But the GCA 68 was closely modelled upon the Nazi Gun Control law of 1938 .

    "Origin of term
The term assault rifle is generally attributed to Adolf Hitler, who, for propaganda purposes, used the German word Sturmgewehr (which translates to "assault rifle") as the new name for the MP43, subsequently known as the Sturmgewehr 44 or StG 44."

    My response to them would:

"You laid the groundwork for this with years of praising cities that flaunted immigration laws. You created the concept, now you have to accept your creation."

They’ll just disagree. They are masters of ignoring the obvious.

We're off topic here but...…….you are correct. The rifle below inspired the first use of the term....in 1944.

This proposed action by va legislators is the outgrowth of a decades long effort. Any hope of stopping this agenda was stated by the political assassinations of the 1960’s and 70’s.

We ignore the effect of the ongoing shadow government to our peril.

It’s intent is to transform America,no constitution, who upholds it now? We have a bloated federal government that was never the intent of the founding fathers. A congress that abdicated its constitutionality authority as the only body to make laws....by allowing the administrative state, expert bureaucrats who make regulations with the force of law.

Congress is not accountable and has shirked their duty and the supremes said it was ok.

    It is not OK!
