Magpul furniture on my AK

I had an East German folder on my Romanian 74 since I got it in 97. So I felt a new look was needed. I like the feel of the new stock, it's a bit heavier but not by much.

Looks nice, but DAMN! You had to do it on an East German set up?!?!

Just razzing you a little, as both look good. The cheek weld will no doubt be better with the Magpul.

I actually put the Zhukov stock on a S12, as the LOP was slightly too long for me with it's previous stock - even when collapsed. It's definitely a different approach, the side-fold capability is nice, and it held up to rapid-fire of 12g slugs with ease.

Plan on putting them on Hungarian kits I have sitting around, if I can ever get around to finishing them...

Looks good. I just put the exact same furniture on my wasr last Friday and like it a lot better. Also added a rs regulate 301 mount with a PA micro

Just put the same furniture on one of my AK's but in Plum color. I am really digging the ergonomics as it fills the hand much better and feels solid. Had a hell of a time completing the stock install as Magpul didn't include all of the hardware in the box (missing two of the three screws and wedge) then sent me the wrong hardware, finally Brownells pulled hardware from another unit and all is good now.
Let me know if you want to get rid of the EG furniture and stock if no longer needed.

I don't care for the sharp edges on the Magpul front handguards. Same on my Magpul 870 front hand guard.

I watched your video on the furniture in my research. I didn't want to go full Zhukov, cutting and damaging the value for the next owner was something I couldn't do.

I got the Zhukov furniture in plum on my SGL-21, I also went with the long hand guard, going with the long hand guard is a commitment though.
now I want to find a decent Russian red dot, missed out on one at kalinka
