Suggestion: Those who are running for higher office and still alive, split them off.

We want to see who is out and unemployed.

    Just with a quick glance...

Frosh and Mizeur should all be listed "on the way out" due to running for other offices
    Thanks
Moved Muzeur to "on the way out".
For Frosh, i had not put him into "on the way out" because he is still in and running for higher office. I have now created a section for that, per gprimr1 suggestion.

Thanks, created separate section. Is Frosh the only one to go there? I know several legislators are now running for other stuff, but don't have a list of that breakdown

Change that to just "left to persue higher office"

Then you can say if they lost or not.

Ah, good call. Thanks. They will no longer be a Legislator, so the next status will either be out altogether (hopefully) or moved to new position

Yeah, we want to stress who lost their primary, not who left voluntarily to run for higher office.

McHale is on his way out in D46 (retiring) and stands to be replaced by Brooke Leirman - democrat "civil rights" attorney. Don't get excited folks. She's one of those that only fights for certain "civil rights" for certain "disadvantaged."

    Thanks All. OP updated.

    Awesome job TopShelf..

    :)

Jones-Rodwell in the senate and McHale in the house chose not to run again
Interesting that Jones-Rodwell dropped out, was still on the ballot, and received 3,364 votes - http://results.elections.maryland.gov/elections/results_data/index.html

Didn't Cardin and Braveboy leave too? and Mizer?
Yes, and they are listed as "No longer in office, or on their way out (2014):". All 3 of those actually tried to run for different positions in the MD government and lost. I don't have full root cause data spelled out, just that legislators are gone. Also - Some retired, or did not run again for whatever reason.

Maybe I will color code the OP in some way to indicate who alleged left by their own choosing. Jennie Forehand comes to mind.
I have found that if the OP is long, people tend to not read it and then they post up questions that are already answers in the post.

Also noteworthy - some legislators ran in a different district. Root cause on exactly why someone is no longer in office gets a bit messy

I think we just need something simple that shows who voted for SB281 and who is no longer in office because of it.
