    Fingerprinted on 13 Feb
HQL applied for on 14 Feb
    Approved on 27 Feb
    Letter dated 28 Feb
    Received on 2 Mar

14 days to approve + 4 days to get my permission slip in-hand

NB: new MSP superintendent’s name is already on their letterhead. Amazing how efficient the MSP can be....

    App submitted Sat, 4/11-approved 4/30

To add to the data points:

    HQL Submitted Saturday, April 11
HQL Approved Thursday, April 30 (19 days)

I saw most of the categories saying ‘Completed’ this morning, and finally around 6pm have the HQL License number.

Will update when I receive the HQL, but hoping that if they normally send it out on Friday I will have it this weekend.

Also hoping that I can give the dealer the information and not have to go in and wait two hours to get into the store (I ordered the gun at Bass Pro and they have it now).

Thanks for the support, MD Shooters!

    Fingerprinted on Apr 17th
HQL applied for on Apr 17th
    Approved on May 5th
    Letter dated
    Received on

Will update when I get the letter.

I will say there was no movement on my account the whole time; I checked everyday. Then on the 5/6 I checked my status and it said Active.

    Just received this email

    Mr. Estirpe,

Your application has been administratively denied because*your*fingerprints*were not submitted/transmitted correctly.* Please contact your*fingerprint*provider and advise them your*fingerprints*are not showing in the*CJIS*database under the HQL*authorization*code. Please let me know when this is done, so I*can*check again.*

    Thank you,

Is this a mistake I made when I came home and submitted or something the fingerprint agency did?

I'm pretty sure I triple checked before I submitted.
    Confused..

Did you receive a letter from Maryland State Police a few days after getting fingerprinted? If not that would confirm that the fingerprints weren’t properly submitted (I received my letter two days after getting fingerprinted). Contact the livescan vendor and ask them if they submitted properly.

Good luck, I know the frustration that such delays cause!

    No, never received a letter.

Thia sh7t sucks, I bet the bad guys dont have to go thru all this to get locked and loaded, at this pace we will need a certificate stating you are a baseball player before carrying a bat in your car.

Give the Livescan vendor a call when they open (today?); the ones I have spoken with seem to be on the ball and responsive. Also a plus is that based on the text you pasted the state employee seems to have taken ownership of the issue and wants to be helpful.

Good analogy about the baseball bat!

    Update:
    Thanks guys for your advise.
Went by livescan agency and they resent it, the gentleman told me MSP do that all the time.
I replied to the officer's email and told him the livescan agency sent it again to CJIS, I also attached the HQL code from the receipt and the officer replied.

    Thank you! HQL approved.
    Now waiting on the card

    Submitted 4/20/20
    HQL Approval 5/9/20
Card received in the mail ?
