Thanks for the welcome everyone. Any recommendations for outdoor ranges? My newly acquired .308 isn't much fun in an indoor range at 25 yds.

Check out AGC - Associated Gun Clubs. 100 and 200 yard ranges.
You join one of the member clubs (can be as little as $25), participate in a walk through / safety briefing, and then pay a range fee to AGC of $190
You can shoot that 308 all day every day minus New Years and Christmas.
Depending on what part of the City you are located, not terribly far away. From "Canton" I calculated it as 30 miles away.
