I don't see the point when a known reputable barrel maker like Faxon is the same price or less.

Fantastic barrels. My 20" RRA HBAR is one of my nicest shooting rifles.

Keep an eye on their website, you may catch one of the 20% off sales.

Are those of teh heavy profile variety Colt SOCOM Barrels? I have one on a previous build and have been looking to purchase another for my next build.

Yes. It is THE 14.5" SOCOM. You can always tell by the barrel mass(with the two 'flats') behind the journal.

If I might piggyback on this question, are there any stampings, advertisements, or claims from Colt that these barrels are in fact heavy for stupid compliance reasons even though they are?

I'm afraid not. I put mine on SBRs and pistols.

I've had not problems with any RRA parts or guns. Find a full rifle that has those barrels; they advertise accuracy ratings (guarantees? Capabilities?) for most of them as 3/4 and 1 MOA at 100 yards. Also try to find one of their dealers. I worked with a guy when I was in Florida and he'd get me parts 30-40% off of MSRP.

If its advertised as heavy, just screen shot it. My 30 + year old 20" is marked, but I can't vouch for modern Colt barrels. At the same time, I don't think anyone has ever noted being checked for compliance. IANAL...

Looking around Brownells calls this one heavy https://www.brownells.com/rifle-par...rrel-assembly-with-sight-tower-prod71337.aspx
Product number is one digit different probably because it has the sight tower

I've got an old('90s) RRA 16" Chrome moly barrel. It is still a tack driver.

I have found vendors who will, for a nominal cost, pin and weld cages on them for you, but unless you are buying a completed carbine, the barrels come sans muzzle device.

Being as I mostly shoot suppressed SBRs, I buy them without.
Are you confusing the post-2013 MD HBAR rules with NFA? No requirement for HBAR on pistols or SBRs. HBAR is required for MD AR15 Title 1 rifles made today (in addition to 16” OAL barrel).
