  • Cool. No problems? I was hoping to have the slide milled for a dot but at first glance, it looks like pot metal. I could be wrong.

could be. i would contact the manufacturer and ask before proceeding. No problems at all. Accurate too. Wish I had kept the target. First time out of the box and put a full mag through the 10 ring at 15 yards. I was surprised since other 22 autos i've shot have been mediocre at best. This shoots better than the high standard victor i've been shooting for decades. It was my dad's gun now my brother owns it. My dad was a member of the USMC pistol competition team in the late 50s

Time to put this thread in the grinder.

I've been saying that for a long time ever since a city in CT banned POSSESSION of Polymer 80s. Yes I know they're !egal now, but what stops a Democrat-controlled Congress from changing that knowing it will take years to go to SCOTUS, meanwhile enforcing the new laws?

If I'm Frosh, this is the first place to look for 'em if that's not happening already.

First glock or handgun period. hell of a learning experience. Taking off for a while soon and it can't come along, but got the Holosun today and just wanted to show it off lol.

Just waiting on the sight pusher and Trijicons to show up in the mail, then some pins to make it look more flush when I go to touch up the drill holes and get them all right and proper. Shame I have to wait to try it out.

Apparently Frosh has got 80% builds in his cross hairs this MGA session. Surely nothing new, but expect it to be filed by some lacky and passed.

We sometimes are our own worst enemies. Call stuff like this "custom" Tupperware or whatever, stop waving it in their faces. It WILL come back to bite us in the ass.

Hopefully there will be some sort of grandfather clause if this shit passes.

That has never been in any of the previous bills, and I certainly wouldn't expect to see it now.

Let's see how it is drafted and go from there. In the end, this will only serve to speed up my and my tax dollar's departure from this F'd up state.

As for grandfather clauses, I have no problem serializing any of my 80% toys.

Their narrative is that "ghost guns" are a way for criminals to legally buy guns over the internet. If we hide and say nothing, we allow them to basically ignore firearms law that already accomplishes their goals, long standing definitions, and the "good side" of a product that has been built and enjoyed by law abiding people for generations. My first firearm was building a non-firearm black powder rifle kit with my dad, and I have passed that experience down building ARs with my kids. That whole "in common use" thing. I definitely get it, nobody wants to be the test case, or first on the list if they get banned, but if we keep quiet they are free to shape whatever perception they want, and going by DM's form 1 can fiasco, if you bought anything from poly 80, you are probably on the list already.

There was an incident up here where a gun show was going to ban 80%s at their shows, got called out publicly by us en masse. Between showing pics of hundreds of builds, telling about experiences building for a project with kids, or any of the 100 other reasons we buy these ended up getting them to reinstate the dealers, and allowed them to be sold, and the public to be educated. All of this is neccesary if we want a little known, and much maligned niche corner of the firearms industry to continue to get mainstream acceptance and protection from BS in the future. Obviously this wasn't a legislature we went aggainst, and not in MD, but seems like this is the current "low hanging fruit" the gun control folks are going after, and whatever happens in one state will be brought up in others. Pretty much the reason I still spend time and money fighting bad stuff in MD despite having moved from there more than a decade ago, so hopefully I can shoot my stuff when visiting family and friends down there, and to keep that BS from spreading.

That is a beautiful build. The only thing I felt weird about was when I went to the Gettysburg show last Summer, there were a lot of dudes that could be from Ballmer city calling up their friends asking what p80 kit they wanted.

not saying nefarious but....they were like buying tons.

And if they get banned for sale in Marylandstan those same thugs will be standing in line at the local gun shops and shows in Pennsylvania Delaware Virginia and West Virginia and bringing them back into maryland. It's not going to change a damn thing. The only people that will be negatively impacted are those who are currently in possession..

There is almost 0% chance any thug caught using a "ghost gun" in the commission of a crime will see any serious time. These, after all, are Frosh's key constituents. Hell, the MGA is still pushing de-fund the police initiatives.

Just one more reason to stack on to the top of the list of reasons I want to flee this state in a few years when I enter my soft-retirement phase.
