Hello, looking for advice from IDPA shooters. Looking at purchasing a vest to do IDPA shooting. What are you guys using and where can I find a decent vest at a good price.
    Thanks...

I have been using a photo-vest for IDPA for the last few years (and for CCW). While heavier than some they are also heavily ventilated and easily go down low enough to cover any kind of carry rig. Cheap ones can be had on eBay for under $20 while good ones will run you around $100. The Humvee Safari Vest from places like LA Police Gear is about $40. I have a Humvee vest I use also.

Likewise for Concealed Carry Clothiers . These are intended for real world use as actual vests, with buncha pockets, to hold all your important paraphernalia, and misc Stuff.

Smith & Alexander ( the 1911 Magwell people) offer a very basic " IDPA Vest " . Single layer of material , no pockets , length and cut to cover IDPA type gear. Reasonably priced, $38 for up to 3XL , slightly more for really huge guys.

Two different approaches , for two different parameters .
