I see a lot of auto loaders and bolt actions, but I rarely see anyone post anything on lever or pump action .22's in LR, or Magnum. I'd love to see some pics and hear some things on these. I would love to have a Henry Holden Boy in .22 Mag and a pump action in the same.

The only reason I bought a .22 was for a competition, and that's been supplanted by 9mm semi-auto. I'd love to trade it in for a pump .22, though.

Look in our "lever action" thread. You'll see plenty of pics of Henry .22's and my beloved Marlin 39.

I would love to have a Winchester 1906, but the prices have really gone up in the last few years. I wish someone would make a quality repro; I'm surprised that Uberti or Pedersoli hasn't. (I know Rossi makes one, but have read they can be hit or miss.)

Edit - never mind my mention of my Winchester and Marlin bigger rifles. I do have a Winchester model 1890 (1913 manufacture date) that I have lots of love for. It was bought brand new by either my grandpa or great-grandpa and was passed directly to me from my grandpa when he passed away in 1979.

How much more good can be said about the 39 that hasn't been? It looks, shoots and feels like a "real rifle".

It's a shame they sell for almost $500 these days. The Henry lever action .22 LR can be had for less than $300 and the .22 mag version under $400. For some odd reason, I'd love a gun in .22 mag.

I have the Marlin 39A that my Dad got in the mid-1950's. Recently, a good friend had a Marble Arms Peep Tang Sight installed on it for me. I've shot .25 inch groups with it.

    It's a beautiful rifle. It's accurate. It's a classic.

Any collection without a Marlin 39 is deficient.

I def need one. I'll save up and that might very well be my next rifle? Do you guys recommend that over the Henry .22 mag version?
