What after market flash suppressor do you have on your Ruger 10/22 with threaded barrel?

I recently bought a 10/22 with a threaded barrel, but it did not come with the Ruger flash suppressor.

Your thoughts on a blue vs SS flash suppressor on a SS barrel.

    Thanks,

Maybe just a thread protector. .22 doesn't need a flash suppressor. They are on there for looks in the tactical age.

I agree. Bought one last fall and swapped the flash suppressor for a thread protector. If you want the factory one, let me know and it is yours.

    Thanks for all the responses.

EL1227, I'm not that cool to dress mine up like this.

I know, but it definitely turns heads at the range ... that is until I pull the trigger and it goes pop instead of BOOM !!!

A muzzle device on a .22 is not necessary. My 50th anniversary contest winner had one to protect the barrel crown. That's what a read somewhere. For appleseed shoots they say it's a good feature to have.

About the only real use of the muzzle brake or compensator on a .22LR rifle is to make a little more noise towards the RO so that the timer picks up the shot when speed shooting.
