I don't think it really improves on the shotgun, but it's legal in MD. And if you like it, that's good enough.

Don't really need it since I have a Moss 930SPX and Saiga-12, but I just want it!

...at least right now...but the magazine cost is a little prohibitive so I'm gonna wait and see if anyone makes some aftermarket mags first.

They also make 20 round mags for it (although, does us NO GOOD here in the DPRM)... so a pump with 20 +1 capacity sounds cool, but not sure I'd have a use for it.

Although having pre-loaded extra mags on hand for a very speedy reload could be a plus.

the only issue with mag feeding a pump like this is the design of the gun probably makes this setup kind of heavy, though it may also mitigate muzzle lift.

BigDaddyHoffman not giving the 590M a glowing review. Hickok45's son also did a review, seemed kind of lukewarm...I haven't seen one in the flesh yet but so far I'm not enamored with a shotgun sporting huge box magazines...plus I hear the mags are north of $100 each...seems kind of gimmicky to me..

I saw the one at Horst and McCann. I like the Mossberg 500 family of shotguns but I didn't handle it....appeared very bulky. I am curious what inspired this configuration.

I see it as a three gun tool. But being detachable mag fed would put the shooting in open class, IIRC. The pump feature wouldn't be competitive there even though it can be run quickly. So where does it fit? Entry gun? Post invasion street confrontation? (No, I don't claim to be 'tactical') Speed shooting stationary clays? Carrying two or three extra full mags would be interesting.
