Mossberg 930 28" barrel

I have an old 930 SPX with the 18.5" barrel and standard stock.

I would like to get a longer barrel for it as I am just getting into Sporting Clays/Trap/Skeet, and I do not want to invest in a better shotgun just yet.

Does anyone know of a source for the 28" barrel (new or used)?

I found one on ArmsList a few weeks ago, but it seemed shady.

Does it interchange with 500 barrels? They're all over eBay...both NIB and used. If it does interchange you can get big bucks for an 18.5" 500 barrel right now...they're going for $200-$300 or even more.

Go on Mossberg site and sign up for mailings. They have sales every few months and offer best deals for original parts. I bought the exact thing your looking for but in camo about 6 months ago for 170, shipped.

Unfortunately, the 500 barrel is not compatible with the 930. (pump vs semi)

I have a 930 Pro sporting model as my spare clays gun ---works great---usually the go to gun if guests go along---Brother in law used it last weekend for an "all rabbit" shoot
