I have a complete bayonete assembly that's a new takeoff from an unissued Chicom SKS if you would like to install one. I have all of the parts and it's still in cosmo. Pm me if you are interested. I'm not looking to make a $ I just think it's a waste sitting in my closet.

If you are talking about the back cover, I noticed it comes out real easy if you push forward on the cover removing the spring tension from the recoil spring.
I noticed that too, forgot to mention it haha thanks for the assist.
And glad we could help Squirrel Hunter, oh and by the way,

Glad to see you're keeping with the "Foot-in-picture" rule. :lol2:

And is that a cigar belt by your foot?

At the risk of plugging another site, there is a link on surplusrifle.com on cleaning, dis-assembly, and more other stuff on an SKS than most need. I'm on my 2nd yugo now, and have found them to be very straight forward, easy to service rifles. Others will disagree, but its the best little semi-auto you can find if you are not in the price bracket for a AR-10 or some such rifle.

I've been saying the same thing since I got my first one.
