    Vet William E. Brunson brought home this interesting Mauser pistol. I have never seen sweetheart grips like these before. I wonder if he captured the gun like that or added the pics. Unfortunately I have not found much info on William.

    I have a small 32 pocket pistol collection and also have a pretty nice Mauser 1914 commercial version in that collection.
    After WWII, there was a large push for personal protection all over the US as well as Europe by those with any $$ left.
    It does not surprise me to see one as a bring back.

    A number of years ago when I was starting on them (not really that long ago, maybe 5-8 years ago), the going price for a generic non bring back in decent shape was averaging about$300. Prices have gone way up though on many of them.
