I picked up an RIA VR80 today. The thumbhole stock is too long for me. Under the thumbhole stock is a commercial AR buffer tube. So I'm looking to get a commercial stock that can take the abuse of 12 gauge slugs. Any suggestions?
Any quality stock will be fine. I will say that I have run the FAB Defense recoil reducing stock on my Saiga 12, and it does a remarkably good job of taming shotgun recoil. It's not a replacement for good form; in fact, it's useless if it's not tucked in tight.
ETA: The VR80 isn't exactly like an AR15. There are some small differences. For me to use the AR buffer tube, I had to modify the Ar15 end plate by drilling a hole in it. Just use the plate on the VR80 as a template.
