I am a minimalist per se but i'm at 7 calibers now :D hahaha Gotta join the bandwagon;)

I shot the 44 Magnum extensively for years. Two things brought up in this thread are very true.
    1. Reload to make it affordable to learn to shot it well.
    2. Need practice to get good at DA shooting. Reduced loads help. Not locking the joints of the shooting arms helps. So does a small J frame S&W in 22 with a set of Pachmyers on it. I bought my 63 intentionally for DA revolver practice. Enough recoil to let you know the gun is there and large enough to learn good trigger work. Learned it is truly a delightful gun. My wife said it was her gun and my son fired his first shots with it. When I feel myself 'get rusty' in DA revolver shooting, I shoot a couple hundred rounds through that revolver to re-imprint the finer points of DA shooting.
