Learning to know the time of trigger pull(going slow at first) until it fires, you know when the recoil will rear it's ugly head.
I've always heard the "surprise" method because of people moving when anticipating the recoil (I admit when I first started out that was one of my problems). Any other ways to teach against anticipation with this timing method other than showing them the holes in the paper aren't where they're supposed to be?
