Purchased during pre msa 2013 in maryland, the buyer and i went to my local gun shop and come to found out the specific model is no longer on the handgun roster!

Dealer phones msp and they say to call the manufacturer*♂️.

So it seems i can't transfer my pistol to maryland resident?!

Has anyone else dealt with this issue before?

Lastly i was uninformed that msp remove certian models of the manufacturer off their roster,my impression was that the roster expanded...

    Btw it's a 45acp*

    Neither did i!

    This handgun roster is ********.
Turns out only if it's made before 1/1/85.

However I see lots of XD .45 ACP on the roster, so not sure why there was a problem.

    Model: XD(M)
Model Number: 3.8" MODEL, 4.5" MODEL, 4.5" OSP THREADED BARREL MODEL (XDMT94510BHCOSP), 4.5" OSP THREADED BARREL MODEL (XDMT9459FHCOSP), N/A
    Caliber: 10 mm, 40 S&W, 45 ACP, 9 mm

Why don't you just do it yourself at a MSP barracks for $10?

Or find an FFL that knows what they are doing.

    I agree with mac1
There are lots of XD on the roster and there should definitely be a match. You can pm me a picture of the slide and I can check.

It is likely an XD service model or the XD Service LE. I think those just have XD and the caliber on the slide with no extra letters like M or S. Pretty sure these models dont't say Service on the slide

If you are referring to the Springfield you have for sale in the classified section, than yes it is on the MD roster. It is an Xd service model. I have a friend who is a MD resident with one. If yours is still for sale at the end of the month you will be receiving a pm from me.
