I am way too excited about this rifle. I used CCI AR Tactical and Federal AutoMatch. The ammo is mainly for my 10/22; not sure it's optimal for the Browning. It's 1200 fps at the muzzle. Rifle has a 16.5" target (very thick) barrel and weighs about 6 lbs. It comes with a muzzle brake but I shot it today with my CGS Hydra AL suppressor. The scope is 2-7X35 Vortex Diamodback rimfire scope.

Rifle below and targets in posts to follow.

This is the first paper target I shot at 100 yards after dialing it in. I was delighted, but that was the last of the CCI ammo (I shot most of the CCI on a metal target spinner which was a blast). Each square is one inch. Even with the flyer I am happy with this one.
[EDIT] That actually might be 6 shots and not 5.

The Federal AutoMatch was not as good. Pretty consistently, for every 5 shot group, three shots grouped nicely and the other two were flyers. All of these are 100 yards. Basically 2 inch 5 shot groups.

The only compliant I have with the rifle is the adjustable trigger only goes down to 4.25 pounds. I would prefer something between 3.5 and 4. It is a very crisp trigger, there is no movement until it breaks. Still it's a nice looking rifle and will accept a can.

FWIW I was firing off of a sling stud mounted Harris bipod.

[EDIT] And one more thing; the double helix magazine is the best bar none for any rimfire I have ever seen (sorry Ruger).

Great looking gun, and nice shooting with this ammo, especially using a 7x scope at 100 yards. Finding the right ammo preference for a 22LR rifle to group sub-MOA at 100 yards can be quite challenging.

I have the same rifle in both .22LR and .22 Magnum. Killed 2 squirrels in less than 10 seconds at 75 yards with the Magnum.
They never knew what hit them .

Curious as to what kind of scope or optic do you use on your T-Bolts?

    On The .22LR
Weaver Classic Rimfire 2.5x7x28mm matt black

    On The .22 Magnum
    Leopold VX-3i 2.5x8x33mm matt black

On both rifles I used the Browning rings that came in the box with the rifles.

I really like my T Bolt but my CZ 452 FS .22 LR is just as accurate as the Browning T bolt .22 LR with Wolf Extra match ammo.

How much effort does it take to operate to bolt on the 22lr version? I shot a 22mag and was impressed

Do you think this could double as a youth rifle with a shorter stock?
This particular model T Bolt is kind of heavy. It weighs 6 lbs 2 oz and the Sporter model weighs 4 lbs 14 oz. The bolt might be a bit much for a more diminutive child to push into battery, depending on the child. I'll tell you what though, if someone had bought me any of the T Bolt models when I was 11 years old, I would have been absolutely thrilled.

For a youth 22LR, Browning makes a lever action "Midas" model BL 22

I have a regular BL 22 and that thing is a hoot. I even put Skinner peep sights on it. FWIW.
