In light of this, I have a couple of impressions about the County TF...

    • The TF will assume a life of its own after the MGA probably makes it a statewide entity this spring.
    • The TF will have no effect on "gun violence," but will bolster the political creds of all involved.
Essentially it will make AA as big a sh1thole as Baltimore City, just like South Bends commission made the city as big a sh1thole as Chicago.

And of course, most of our county and state politicians are too stupid to come up with a truly original idea. All they can do is follow orders from their owners. But we knew this.

Yup. This whole thing is about papering the file to justify further infringements. The report will rely entirely upon "research" compiled, conducted, or funded by Bloomberg $. Well-placed Public Information Act requests may be illuminating on this front, although I'm not sure the PIA even applies to this thing.

They'll stamp the AA County seal on it to give it the imprimatur of legitimacy and non-partisanship. And they'll amazingly conclude based on the "research" that the same re-tread bs infringements are "necessary." Then they'll get to wave it around when the Politburo reconvenes, hence the December deadline for submission of the "report."

I'm obviously not voicing anything new, so I guess this is more of a rant.

According to the Capital Gazette article “reporting” the April meeting of the Task Farce there are two sides:

    - first, those who possess “gun sense”

    - second, “Second Amendment advocates”

Vice-Chair Andrea Chamblee of the Task Farce stated on the Capital Gazette FB page (see above) that the TF should no more consider your input than they would ask Hitler or al Qaeda for their input about killing Jews.

Just in case that was too subtle (especially for you 2A people without “gun sense”) she also says:

    - you are traitors

    - your 2A interpretations are treason

    - you are terrorists

    - your 2A principles are terrorism

    - you are committing a capital offense

    - you should be hung

    Have a nice day.

Screenshot from that opinion piece (linked above), just in case someone claims we are simply imagining being labeled as:

    - seldom supportive of mental illness resources

    - ignoring the criminal violence problem

    - sick with hatred

    - sick with our obsession with guns

    - evil

    - crackpots

    - incredibly stupid

    - willing to shoot those who disagree with us

The TF meeting tonight is scheduled to go into “breakout sessions” to discuss six (6) topics.

These topics were identified at the April TF meeting as deserving examination by these ordinary Anne Arundel County citizens chosen at random to decide what new laws should be proposed in 2020 to further restrict the 2A rights of Maryland’s law-abiding citizens so that criminals and the mentally ill would remain unaffected.

(Woops ... these TF “citizens” not all AACo residents, not ordinary, not random, but they will decide for you.)

    The ‘Dena - DPRM
I rant about this a lot, but I still can’t fathom how people believed Pittman’s BS about being a moderate enough to vote for him in traditionally red areas (I already figured Annapolis will vote for anything with a D next to the name).

This commission’s “findings” will be touted by the Capital Gazette as if they were commands handed down from on high all the way to the Legislative session.

Cade Center on the AACC campus Room 219 is the correct meeting location.

“For some reason” the official .gov AACo Task Force website displayed the wrong location to the public.

It is is on the right of this map; off West Campus Drive:
