    In addition to NICS, what databases does Maryland check for a handgun transfer? Thanks.

    When you apply for your HQL, the website will list status if each check in the process. I believe the DB's are there.

    Just read that. They look at the MVA database? Seriously? Next thing you know, they’ll deny it if you haven’t passed your emissions test

    Because MVA database will show DUIs for being a habitual drunkard. Also often out of state ones. Where as the criminal justice one might not if they forgot to put in your records. Also it likely won’t show out of state DUIs (the criminal justice DBs)

    It makes sense.
