Looks good, i too just got my upper except i got a 20" govt. profile to suite my long arms. Looks like you still need a stock though lol.....What kind of upper is that? Nice hand guards, im on the hunt for some quad rail for mine.. :cool:

That's a very nice upper. Well worth the money spend in the current market.

1:7 Mid Length Ion Bond Operator Barrel, 9" Larue Rail, Colt BCG, Key Hole upper w/ M4 ramps.

Now for a stock and optics!

I'm tracking down a black mil-spec CTR. Also need a buffer, tube, etc.

After Chad inspected it, and gave his "approval", I couldn't have been happier.

I bought it used, less than 300 rounds, from a guy on arfcom. it wasn'y cheap, but it IS what I wanted to build, so I lucked out

I take it that you did research into how to spot larue fakes? Those chinese are really good at making copies.

no CTRs to be had at any of my usual sources. Dan @ GC had some tapco "kits" for less than $100 as i recall. That will get you going in the meantime.

Its ok, Hey look at the bright side, right now you can load a bullet and if your atacked by 2 intruders, make sure their on either side of the gun ("butt" and front) you can get them both with one shot... one with the bullet the other with the bolt flying around 400fps, may not kill him, but sure feel bad with a chunck of metal sticking in him.

LOL i wasn't wondering about this the other day. What exactly happens when you fire an AR with no tube/buffer/spring??

btw that rifle (pistol? lol) looks awesome like that! :party29:

dunno what happens when you fire with no buffer, tube, etc. but i can tell you that without the gas cup on the bolt carrier installed you can turn the charging handle into a near-lethal projectile............not that i'd ever do such a horrible thing to anyone i know........

I'm looking at getting a red dot, and a set of BUIS. Later on i might get a 4.5-14 to put on top Or I'll just wait to put the scope on my 6.8 build I have been dreaming of
