With the thousands of lots I look at every week you do find oddities and this one just gave me a good laugh. Here's the catalog description...

    Estimate: $25 - $500
    Description: Sparkplug tools 1 1/2" & 3 1/2"
    Condition: Good Condition

I'd say the $500 estimate is a bit optimistic by hundreds but the description is priceless.

I'm more curious why Colt would make spark plug tools and what sales tactic was involved. Might be some interesting trivia in that lot and to the right two guys they may be $500 valuable.

I believe the object on the right is a small 'multi blade' screwdriver device Colt put in with some of their pistols(?). The one on the left I've never seen before. Looks more like a depth gauge of some sort.

    notice the caliber graduations: .22, .25, .32, .36, .41, .44, .45

depending on the era .80 might be all they felt necessary... 10ga is .775"

Bore gauge sounds more plausible, especially with the markings. Interesting there's no metric markings (or maybe they're on the other side).

Mawkie, you going to bid on them?

And they probably aren't antiques. I have both in a box in the attic someplace. Readily available at gunshows for about $2.50 to $7 as I recall. Dozens of bright shiny ones in cigar boxes being sold more as curio keyfobs than actual tools.
