You should look into buying a cmmg bolt and barrel and building your own. No gas tube or headspace to worry about so there’s not much to mess up. Just torque the barrel nut down.

Building your own gives you the option of using a slick slide upper with no forward assist and your choice of handguard. I’m almost done with my 4.5” build. Just deciding on handguard length.

I'd second that as an option. I did a 4.5" 1-9 twist SBR build, love it. The bonus is runs most HV ammo I've tried subsonic on a 4.5" short barrel, where my 6.5" would often enough go supersonic in cold weather with HV ammo.

I also run a factory CMMG complete 22LR rifle, got a great deal. And, they don't any more, but years ago I bought some of my CMMG uppers on Amazon... LOL.
