Range pics thread

Been a while for this thread so getting the C&R range pics thread moving again.

To tag onto Doco it was 303Brit day

The No4MK1 was one of my first rifle purchases using my C&R.
2 groove Savage built Lend Lease gun

The No3mk1 just purchased from Mawkie and again using C&R.

The No3 shot the factory PPU 150g pretty well even though the No4 does not like that stuff (used reloads on No4). Got an idea on grouping at 50 yards and how the sights were then pounded steel 100 yards offhand about 10 shots from each gun. The few that missed the steel were entirely my fault

The steel torso target is new as I retired the old one due to some cracking. Did some remote paint removal on it

When the-yr stocked up right pretty tough to beat! Tons of fun working on them too because of the immense amount of engineering/development throughout the service history.
I just went over a bring-back LB the other day and finished off hitting all the bearing points that came together just so.
Maybe after deer hunting or during the day sometime next week I want to get it to the range and put it through some initial paces.
Maybe it was SG the other day that had reasonable surplus Z (poorly packaged non the less) but I thought about picking up a cent or two just for the hell of it.
The targets I Posted were with German 80's MEN which is pretty consistent spec ammo, shame theirs none to little or nothing to be found at this time.
Im scraping bottom of the barrel with only a few hundred rounds left and some HXP that I'm nursing along.
Soon I ll have to start hand-loading for them again just to stay afloat.

I purchased 500 rounds of .303 Brit from SGammo. Good stuff but Berdan primed.
I have given much of it to fellow .303 shooters than I have shot myself.

So is the MEN 80's. (Non Corr)
If you say its good I my as well just buy some of it unless you wouldn't advise it.
(not worried about corrosive primers either)

I don't have that much to sell. Most I give away or trade.
I reload the .303.

Great to see that I'm not the only one here who has a "theme" day. And nice to know that the Peddled Scheme No1 is a decent shooter. I have so much stuff that the vast majority never gets shot by me.

It was never cheap to feed a MG in the past. Wowzers, what it must cost to empty a couple of trommel mags these days!

Curious as to what your P.38 is... if something special you might not want to shoot it, or fit a 70's/80's "fat" slide to it.
The slides (and barrel lock blocks) have a tendency to crack.

Just a few from the Thread of Woe on the P.38 forum. The 480 was a $6k pistol before that fatal shot.

That's why my Russian Capture P38 lets me sleep peacefully at night.
