My son got a new free float handguard for his AR. It has a low profile gas block with 2 allen head screws. One will not come loose. I tried heating it, no joy. The screw that came out does not seem to have locktite or anything on it.

    Suggestions?

Heat gun and if that doesn't work again, try something like a penetrating spray, WD40 or break free.

May have Rocksett on it. In which case heat won’t losen it, water does. Try soaking it for a day.

All the above suggestions are spot on. Exhaust all those first. If it absolutely wont come loose....and I've had a few over the years, I employ a dremel to solve the problem. Using a small barrel metal grinder attachment...I remove the head in total (yes, it destroys the block too....) once the head is removed, a small plastic tipped hammer will knock it off. Just dont get the dremel near the barrel....not a big deal, I promise.
