    Probably a NEW or Remington M91. They were selling in the early 20s for approx. $3.50 each. Cheap, even when you factor in inflation (worth about $40 in 2013 dollars).
    Roosevelt was an avid target shooter. I've seen photos of him in a shooting jacket with a 1903 Springfield. My how times have changed!

    Cool pics with that link. I like the young Teddy Roosevelt with what I think is a 1968 Winchester. Also Regan with an EBR.
