Looks like a letter to the Editor.
The writer overlooked the obvious: Put violent criminals in jail instead of letting them walk free again and again until they actually use a gun in a crime, and stop welcoming more illegals across the border..

That makes sense but one has to remember these social justice warriors don't believe in incarceration as it's hurts the criminal's self-esteem...plus prisons are expensive to build and staff (about the only time SJW's care about spending tax dollars...along with the military which is undesirable to them) so they feel it's cheaper and easier to go after law-abiding citizens.

They don't see spending government money on programs as a problem because their view is that "privileged" people should pay taxes to support everyone else.
Repealing the 2A and confiscation has been their goal all along in spite of all their smoke screens. All you have to do is look at the UK and other places where the started it incrementally under the guise of public safety.

The number of guns used in crimes is an infinitesimally small percent of the hundreds of millions out there.
The overreaction of calling for confiscating them -- if it were even possible -- is like calling for incarceration of the entire U.S. population in order to prevent crime. And even then, it wouldn't.

Liberals are responsible for the root causes of violence already.
Inner cities are ruined by liberals. They promise the poor that they are going to make their lives better. They convince them that conservatives are bad, and won't help them. The poor are generally also poorly educated. They believe the libs are going to make their lives better. They are not aware that libs have been promising the same stuff for generations, and many families are actually WORSE off. They all still vote Democrat, so that's a win. They want to allow illegals into the Country because it will be a huge new pool of voters who are poor and uneducated. They can get more power.
I believe they are responsible for driving kids nuts. The libs have made it so everyone is so worried about offending everyone they are afraid of their own shadows. Especially in liberal academia. Very stressful. High school kids wonder whether they are racist, sexist, insensitive to any of the 37 genders that now exist. It's driving them crazy. Crazy people shoot things up.
