    My woman and I are in an outrageous fight about this. She actually says I'm "selfish" for not submitting to those who would be king.

    She said:

    "You'd jeopardize my retirement for a piece of metal?!?"

    I'm 100% at a loss for words.

    This is a culture war. Even if you got rid of your “pieces of metal” they will attack you for something else.

    I told her:

    "If you won't stand with me, feel free to leave."

    How decadent and soft some have become.

    When my wife and I were dating, I told her if she ever made me choose between her or the guns, I’m taking the guns. I figured if she stuck around then I was all set.

    That's the case here as well. On an intellectual level, she understands...…..sometimes it's the acceptance that's the hard part. Anyone who asks me to choose between them and Liberty will lose every single time. Even after almost 17 years I can say...…….You can replace a woman but Liberty lost is Liberty not fought for! NEVER give me an ultimatum.

    When's the text come out so we can see all the new changes to law that won't be complied with?

    I listen to a few minutes of Allan Ellis' outdoor radio show on the way to work on Saturday mornings (I have no idea why). While letting the windows defrost this morning, I caught the tail end of a caller he had on, and I can only assume they were talking about this bill. The guy on the phone sounded like he couldn't wait to comply with this. It is unbelievable how people just roll over and take it.

    I 80%;) just don't GAF anymore. When you decide to just accept the outlaw label they are trying so hard to put on us, not complying is liberating.

    The only question I have for myself at this point is when this eventually passes (please to call that defeatism... I think that we all realize that these bad bills just keep getting re-introduced every session until they eventually slide into law) what I'm going to do with the "assault weapons" I purchased with a 77-R. They know I have them and I can't claim that I disposed of them through a face-to-face transaction.

    I do have property out of state, so moving them to America is an option, but I don't want to create a situation where the MSP knocks on my door looking for something that I didn't re-register. It sucks that I even have to waste the brain cycles thinking about this crap.

    Pretty soon we will have to submit our registration papers to a LEO at a gun range to be able to practice shooting. This will lead to less patronage, ranges closing, less gun ownership, less 2A support. Our bawls are in a vise here. If you choose to NOT register, when your firearm is discovered outside of your house, you are screwed.

    At some point we need to get serious, take the gloves off, and actually fight against the commies. We can't out vote dipshits, we don't have more money than Bloomberg, we can't wait on a do nothing supreme court to maybe look at it in 15 years. We need to mob politicians and their families/friends/drivers whenever they are in public. Make their lives a living hell. Don't commit violence and do not touch them, but if 20 people are inches away and screaming in their faces then that message will be heard. If people are banging on drums at midnight in their neighborhoods then that will also send a message. Feel free to use your imagination but we really have to get more organized, active and aggressive in our defense of our rights.

    Or we can use proper decorum while giving testimony and have Dingleberry tell us to shut up while the rest of the bastards play on their phones.

    At the end of the day, law enforcement ordered to come to your door and take your firearms have some soul searching to do. Are they willing to kill otherwise peaceful Americans in order to take their defensive firearms because of a blatantly unconstitutional law made by hypocrites. If they choose to go forward with potentially killing to enforce this, the people need to decide what they do with that information.

    No doubt. But I also am not putting any faith that it wont come to this. This isn't an anti-LEO rant. I'm the son of a LEO and a reserve officer myself, but I can see how the pay-check, the sense of duty to "law-and-order", and even good old fashioned peer pressure are going to put a lot of otherwise honorable LEOs in a morally difficult position. I can't control that. I will also be in a morally difficult decision when the knock comes, and we must all chose our course of action.

    We are all being played and pushed to the brink by lawmakers with bad intentions, and we will all pay the price for it, I fear.

    Gary Willis already answered this question.

    If you wait for the knock on your door you already lost. A swat team vs one individual barracaded will be a losing fight. Maybe the line is after a few of these end badly, people join up and become proactive. Idk.

    google is your friend, I am not.
    Text is up.

    This bill adds features and reduces the number of evil features from two to one.

    “Copycat weapon” means
    (i) a semiautomatic centerfire rifle that can accept a detachable magazine and has any [two] ONE of the following:
    1.a folding OR TELESCOPING stock;
    2.a grenade launcher or flare launcher; [or]
    3.a flash suppressor;
    4.A PISTOL GRIP THAT PROTRUDES CONSPICUOUSLY BENEATH THE ACTION OF THE WEAPON;
    5.A THUMBHOLE STOCK;
    6.A FORWARD PISTOL GRIP
    ;

    There is a lot more in here related to pistols as well, see (IV)

    basically everything you own will have to be 77rd.

    Its hard to see what is not banned after 2020.

    If you get a knock on the door, at least make sure you have video of the interaction and do not stop recording under any conditions. Make sure you get officer names. There needs to be an absolute clear record of the interaction.

    I will camoflauge my pistol grip only, and be in compliance.

    I think back to John Adam's day.

    In a series of letters printed anonymously in the Boston Gazette, John Adams warned readers that if they allowed the British Parliament to trample their rights, they would meet the same fate as the Irish—in a state of subjugation, and compelled to live on potatoes and water. In the months that followed, the Americans would take such ominous warnings to heart as they started to prepare for war. In Concord, provincial militiamen started to gather arms and gunpowder in preparation for a confrontation with the British Army. On April 19, 1775, the day of reckoning came. Receiving reports that the colonists were hoarding arms in order to supply a provincial army of rebels, General Thomas Gage dispatched approximately seven hundred redcoats to Concord. In the early morning hours of April 19, Captain John Parker and a collection of militiamen blocked their way at Lexington Green, where the first battle of American Revolution unfolded. No one was certain who fired the first shot, but by the end of the day, nearly four thousand Massachusetts militiamen had encircled the British regulars, and chased them back to Boston where they surrounded the town by land.

    I fear history will repeat itself as certain factions of our country have not learned from the past. :sad20:
