    So I bought the Savage model 11 / 111 Trophy Hunter XP and I got a Boyd's Woodstock to to replace the plastic one which leaves a bit to be desired. the stock won't fit and the website references a bottom metal component. It's in 30-06 so I know I need a long action but I can't really find anything other than long action for 308 and 300 Win Mag. If anybody can give me any help it would be much appreciate.

    Call Savage up and ask them for the metal parts kit for your SKU. They will know exactly what you are talking about. I did this for a replacement stock for the .308 Trophy Hunter XP. It was a 1 minute conversation. Trust me, you are wasting time looking for the parts or answers anywhere else (ask me how I know).
