OK, I know that this is a LONG shot, but here it goes.
Have been wanting to get a hold of an H&R M4 Survival Rifle for my collection. These were very compact, skeletalized bolt action rifles chambered in .22 hornet developed as survival guns for WWII fighter and bomber crews. They saw service well into the late 1950s and early 1960s. They were originally designed with 14 inch barrels but there have been a number that have been converted or had flash hiders pinned to make them 16 inch to avoid NFA.
I have been chasing one of these for a while. Last year, I found a great one on GB and got in a bidding war for it. The auction ended on the day I was taking a cross pacific flight and I put in what I thought would be a winning bid as I got on the plane... alas, the other guy wanted it more. I am still kicking myself.
So... on the off chance that anyone here might have one they would like to part with (or knows someone who knows someone....), thought I would put out a feeler. Am willing to pay a decent price for one in good condition. Please keep me in mind if you ever cross paths with one of these.
Thanks!
