I went to bass pro tonight to try to order one. They only carry the non threaded version. After cabelas in va refused to sell me one I called bp and the order guy, Nathan, they said they could special order it but I have to be in the store. I go in tonight and am told we probably can't order one but we'll ask our order guy and see. Very frustrating.

Nathan from bass pro called me back, he confirmed what he said before, they can order the threaded version BUT the only way to do it is to come into the store to place the order. That's what he told me before and that's what I did on monday (2 hour round trip to get there) and when i got there the fools behind the counter said they can't order it and I have to talk to the order guy. He said to ask for one of their firearms specialists and they should be able to do it but i'm 99% sure if I drive down there again the guys still won't know anything and they'll tell me I have to call Nathan again, who will again say "yes, come into the store to order it".

Update on this, the guy at Bass Pro Arundel Mills who does the firearms ordering, Nathan, just called me back again. He said he was able to find the threaded version carbine with the 10rd mag that they will sell and argued with the management to let him order it for me without me needing to make yet another trip in since he told me previously that they could order it if I came in and then when I did they turned me away. He also said they will be doing some more training with their counter staff to prevent things like this from happening again.

I really didn't expect them to do anything for me at all and i was dreading driving down there again for another attempt. Now i can use up all my gift cards.

From the Ruger PC Carbine thread, my quest to purchase one with my cabelas/BP gift cards has, I think, succeeded.
