The Thurmont Conservation & Sportsman's Club (TCSC) has a new and updated IDPA website: http://tcandsc.org/disciplines/idpa
Additionally, TCSC has moved to a new membership rate structure. "As of 01/07/2016, first year joining members shall pay pro-rated dues on a monthly graduated scale" for more information: http://tcandsc.org/2015-05-22-18-38-59/how-to-join In addition to the pro-rated dues and fixed initiation fee, a range rules test is required if you want to use the range facilities. The test is open-book, but it is not simple. Please familiarize yourself with the range rules before taking the test.
Also, The Frederick Chapter #1 of the IWLA has become the fourth IDPA club in the state of Maryland (links for all four clubs: http://www.idpa.com/compete/clubsearch?stateProvinceId=21&countryId=1&search=). We are in the process of scheduling an IDPA Safety Officer certification course, and will be holding our first match later in March. The Frederick IWLA range allows for traditional shooting bay style stages, as well as stages in unique landscape different than other MD clubs. Match size and cost will be very similar to TCSC & AAFG. Watch for additional information to be posted as it becomes finalized.
