Got to help out running the Cannon match at the N-SSA's Snowball skirmish. The 20 pound Parrott rifle is shooting 200 yrd at a 12" x 24" stake. It only took 4 shoots to cut it in 2 pieces. He came in 2nd, a mountain howitzer broke it in 3 shoot's , He got 1st place.

video isnt working for some reason.

are these matches open to the public to spectate?

i would love to go and watch a cannon shooting match.

one day i would love to get my own cannon even, i could never afford to buy a whole cannon and carriage and all outright, but i did see online a company selling the barrel to a 6lbr howitzer for about $800, and im sure from there i could manage to build the carriage and such myself.

even if i never shot it, it would be awesome just to have.

All the N-SSA skrimish's are open to the public to spectate. Google N-SSA to find web site and you can see the schedule on the next skrimish's coming up. the best one's to go to are the National's there is one in May and one in October, there will be 30 or40 cannons at the National's. Not all skrimishs have Cannons. ps. the video works for me
