    Several 1940s Tikka M39s have sold for more over the last couple of years. Quite a bit more ($800+). The prices I'm talking about are from auctions.

    Any 1920s Tikka M39 will go over $1000.

    It's what the market will bear. If the seller doesn't get his money, he has 2 choices, lower the price or put it back in the safe. Without more information it is not possible to put a value on that firearm. Like others have said, there are some that have sold for more. Would need a lot more information and a few quality pictures to help with the valuation.
