The only caliber I am not shooting much of right now is .223. Simply because I don't have any 55gr or 62gr bullets on hand to load the cases I have stockpiled. I am now working towards shifting all of my recreational shooting to handloads as components permit. I have enough components to keep my .45 fed for months right now.

I'm set on centerfire rifles right now. Especially 6.5x55mm given my recent discovery of unsuitable ammunition for my M96. I've restocked to survival rations on factory ammo but that gun will be the first to be fed handloads for all shooting going forward.

I need to start hitting Delmarva Sporting Clays with my Mosins. I have a ton of silver tip I'd like to burn up in the berm and leave the FMJ alone for indoor use.

I saw a funny quote "Due to price increases, no warning shots are given"

In the proper context, that 1,000yd scope question could be semi-logical, as in how much should I budget for scope as typically used for 1,000yd rig .

But as Bolts said , the scope is behind the marksmanship skills, and rifle otherwise capable of required level of accuraccy.
