I've seen other full auto torture tests, but never one for a suppressor. WOW that got hot!

I think that dude fired at least 500 of those rounds with his eyes closed.

I could be wrong, but I believe this was filmed by an SOT/dealer who wanted to know what SWR/Silencerco meant by "full auto rated." Not like replacing a suppressor is that difficult for them. Thankfully no belt fed machine guns were permanently harmed . . .

Looks like the SAW started spitting by the gas block at the end? Granted the barrel was cherry red.

Nope they voided the warranty IMHO
How did they void the warranty? I don't know specifically which can that is, but if it's the Specwar "full-auto rated", and it fails during full-auto fire, I'd say that's covered. There is no prohibition in the text of their warranty for actually using a "full-auto rated" can on full-auto. You can't classify using a "full-auto rated" can on a full-auto firearm as abuse either.

I doubt they tried to collect the warranty anyway. The publicity (and ads?) from 17 million views is worth way more than the can.

SiCo is very generous with their warranty. And even more generous if they deem the damage not covered by the warranty! "If Silerncerco/SWR determines, in its sole and absolute discretion, that a returned suppressor is not covered under this warranty, for any reason, you may purchase a replacement product at 75% off the suggested retail price."
Makes me glad I own two SiCo suppressors. :D

    1 ruined suppressor - $1200 to $2000
    1 roached 249 barrel assembly - $300 to $500
    700 rounds of 7.62x51 - Lets say $350

17+ Million views on YT? Priceless.

Seems a bit stupid to keep firing after the can melts and starts to flop.

Saker is $860 list. Dealer price will be well below that. They are a shop so likely on form 3.
SAW is 5.56 so ammo is more like $250.
Using internet YouTube monetization calculators, they likely netted $1k-20k.

I find it hard to believe that they weren't wearing more protective gear than just basic shooting protection.

I would have had on a full face mask at least and then something like a welder's jacket and gloves that would protect from flying pieces of metal.

That just looks stupidly dangerous without some additional precautions.

And yet another reason why women typically live longer than men. :)
