Meal Kit Supply MREs - back in stock soon (3/30/20)

I received an email from them a little bit ago:

Quote:
Several truckloads of factory-fresh MREs are enroute to our distribution facility and we are now taking orders for Sopakco Emergency Ration Meals and Sopakco Sure-Pak 12 cases.

Due to massive demand we expect these to sell out immediately. We will not accept backorders and we do not know when to expect a resupply after this shipment.

All product will be shipped on a first-purchased first-shipped basis. We will begin shipping out of our facility Monday, March 30. Prices include free shipping in the continental United States.

Thank you and stay safe,

Meal Kit Supply
If you were looking to top off or share with others, you might consider ordering very soon. They've been out of stock for some time.

Hey, you older guys (like me) better stay away from MRE's . That stuff is made for a young kid who needs to STAY AWAKE and fight all night if he has to. We have enough trouble getting to sleep.

***Yea no kidding. It is LOADED with sodium and fat. They tend to also have a LOT of calories which may not be appropriate for sedentary people. It will keep you alive, but it's definitely less than ideal for an older person with high BP, overweight, and just generally out of shape and unhealthy. Most adults in this country are over fat and don't exercise enough.

I have several cases as a last resort.

$10 a meal? am I reading that right?
I can't even read the nutrition info

I had ordered some MREs from sportsmans guide once and was dissapointed. 250 calories per bag.
Small 69 cent can of corn beef hash was better than that and likely lasts longer.

someone tell me why an MRE is better than canned food if your not having to carry it?

****The MRE's I have are like 1200-2000 Kcal per bag. They usually have an entree, a side, a beverage powder, some kind of dessert and a mint, condiments, nuts, or candy, etc.... They also have a water activated heater to heat the entree. I can't eat the whole thing. It could easily keep me going the entire day unless I was doing a lot of manual labor, etc... I paid like $55 per case, and bought several with free shipping, from Sportsman's Guide, like 6 months ago (mebbe a bit more..)

***This is what one of the individual meals looks like. I bought all 20 "Menu" options. Some are really good, and all are very filling. Loaded with Sodium and Fat, along with protein. Very energy dense food. They are not health food by any stretch, but they will keep you alive and able to move and work for sure. Last resort perhaps, but they don't taste bad and keep for a long time if stored well.

WHERE are you finding a can of corn beef hash for .69 cents???

That's my favorite light breakfast. Cooked on a single propane burner, on my truck's tailgate, while in my bathrobe... because my wife can't stand the smell of it cooking.
