I'd rather spend that money on ammo or towards another firearm. I'm not one to spend money on a conversation piece. But that's just me. You do what makes you happy.

These things are aimed at the living history folks. Most of those I have met have inert weapons. In some cases, they should never be around real firearms.

One year at Fort Meade, John Pepper invited some living history folks to come and shoot at the range. Remember, these people are used to pointing guns (inert or blank only) at other people. Guess what happened when we let them handle REAL firearms. They were swinging loaded guns around like they were doing a re-enactment.

That was the last time they were ever invited for a live fire event.

You could wield it two-handed like a melee weapon.
