Bummer. I am going right by there this weekend and had wanted to stop by...

    Snooze ya lose...:o

If you thought their place they had was a dump you should have seen their building 20 years ago. It's between what they have now (former 7/11) and the now closed and moved McDonalds. It's just a gravel parking lot.

They had a long counter that spanned the entire length

This thread is making me hungry.

Working from home today, I'll be bopping over to Classico shortly to pick up a cheese steak with mushrooms and green peppers. And while they're making it, look next door at College Square Liquors for a new and different brewski to wash it down with.

    This is a righteous combination.

Philly has the best cheese steaks sorry, Fillettis not bad either in dundalk

Just hit the Oaks Extravaganza this past weekend, and, as always, swung by Philly for a cheesesteak. I have roots in Philly, and been a fanboy of Jim's Steaks, and Dalessandro's, for years. Went to Chubby's across the street from Dalessandro's for the first time in maybe five years, 'cause a critic wrote that Chubby's has better meat. Couldn't tell the difference in meat quality, and Dalessandro's was more generous, has much better bread, and is much better overall. I've found nothing compares down here in the DC area.
