I recall a LONG waiting list for the new replicas.
    Have you looked at Gunbroker?

Oh my word! I wish I had some disposable cash lying around - if I did, I'd throw you an offer right now for whatever you thought you wanted to get! That's a beautiful gun.

I have a nice replica 1874 that I'm considering selling.
What kinds of things should I look for to determine a good asking price?

Sure wish I could see these pictures, but work is blocking photobucket. Anyway, people in the market for one of these here buffalo rifles look at barrel length, sights, grip, and stock configuration. Some are more desirable than others. Also, if it's really an American or an Italian replica.

1874 is kind of old. And it doesn't look like it takes regular AR mags. Still, I'd offer $150.

A quick look at Taylor's and Shiloh shows new prices, but there are multiple options. That is one nice looking rifle.

On second thought, $150 and my first-born. He's a good kid, if a little lacking in ambition and he pays his own bills.

    Nice looking rifle!!!!!!!!

    I've always wanted an 1874.

My wife said that she didn't care if I bought one, but, it better have Tom Selleck in the box, too.

She said that she wants a toy, too.

I'll give you $200.00, cash. Right now. (Just find a picture of Selleck, for her.)

Yeah, there was only one for sale on there that I could find. It was pretty ornately decorated, so it's not comparable enough.

There is a way to search closed sales on GB, that tells you what people REALLY paid. Did you try that?

Identifying the manufacturer is key, but I've seen used Italian ones with asking prices of over $1k. My hunch is that that one is Italian. They aren't bad by any means, just not quite the level of a C. Sharps or Shiloh.
