They use the term "registered firearms" for every state. Not all states require firearms to be registered. I own multiple handguns and none of them are registered and it's legal.

Why/how do they not include pistols?
Kind of interesting none the less

    Facinating!

    Excerpt:

"Wyoming has the highest number of registered guns per capita of any state in America. For every 1,000 residents, there are 195.7 guns, about three times the rate of second-place D.C. That's 114,052 registered firearms in a state with a population of only 582,658 people.

Here, Zak Smith and Shane Coppinger, co-owners of Thunder Beast Arms Corp., prepare to shoot high-powered rifles fitted with sound suppressors at a rifle range west of Cheyenne, Wyoming."
