Well I finally called em up, and here's the stats:

    Date Purchase: 12/22/10
    Date Pending: 1/20/11

    Examiner: Dudash

Well, I need to look into this Dudash character and see the turnover rate for em.

Well, I just found out who my examiner is, and she is slow (according to her past performance.) :banghead:

They should offer expedited service like the passport office.

I read earlier in this that if the CJIS background report is sent to you, that means MSP has not received it. Is this true and if so do I need to send them a copy.

I've been waiting three weeks and don't won't to delay it

No, CJIS sends out 2 copies. One to you and the other to MSP. However, to insure that MSP gets a copy in a timely fashion, feel free to fax it to them at 410-486-6360. That will go directly to the Class 3 section of MSP in Pikesville.

BTW, 4 weeks is typical right now.

It seems that the length of time you will wait is directly linked to the examiner you get. Some examiners get their stuff done very quickly (2 weeks), while others take upwards of 5-6 months. Sounds like you got a pretty good one.

Well I looked up Nicole Dudash, and it seems that her average pending to approval time is around two months. I guess that's okay, but there are some that have been close to four months+ although they are few and far between.

So my form 4 went pending on 1/20/11, I am expecting to receive it on 3/20/11
That stinks seeing as how I was originally hoping to see it in February. I guess I have to wait about three more weeks, and I'm good to go.

Form 4, Definitely for patient men.

Yup. That would be my investigator. :banghead:

Seriously, is there anywhere you can register a complaint or request a different examiner? I realize it's luck of the draw, but it's ridiculous that some examiners can get their shit together in a couple of weeks, yet one particular examiner routinely takes 5 months.

Probably not. And if you could, it would probably not work out in your favor in the end.
